February has truly just snuck up on me, but I am welcoming it with open arms. It has been quite an eventful month, and I'm enjoying every single day. This weekend is Valentine's Day AND a three day weekend - so I'm stoked. I know some individuals can be anti-Valentine's Day and others can be pro Single Awareness Day. I'm honestly fine with the day as it is - I've been single for many and in a relationship for some! Whichever place you're in right now, just enjoy it!
Whether you're going out with your man or your friends, here are some lip options for ya! Some are kiss proof and some are just a touch of oomph. You all know I'm a huge liquid lipsticks fan - so of course I had to throw in a few (ok, or a lot) of liquid options. The Kat Von D Lolita duo in Lolita and Lolita II are gorgeous and ones I reach for often - I also love layering them together. Some budget friendly ones would be the ColourPop Lipstick in More Better and the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft-Spoken. And of course, my two all time favorites are Stila Beso and Stila Patina.
Some of my other favorite lipsticks include NARS Barbara, which I featured in my January Favorites. The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Glastonberry is a bold one which can be worn patted in for a feathered out look, or layered on for a pack of punch. And the most beautiful shade - TopShop Lipstick in Damned. Similar to Glastonberry, Damned can be worn patted in for a more subtle look or worn full on for a beautiful berry fuchsia. For extra wear on Damned use the MAC lip liner in Beet.
This past week was full of Chinese New Years celebrations and I'll be continuing those events through the weekend. So that unfortunately interferes with Valentine's Day. But the boyfriend and I don't have anything planned out just yet so I'm sure it will be low key! Although I am hoping that we can do a day trip to Napa (wine country) or be tourists in San Francisco for a day. AND It's a 3 day weekend, so thank you presidents of the U.S. for giving me that one.
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
