J A N U A R Y FAVES

I can't believe that the end of January is already here. This month was a fairly slow month and full of many simple items. I started working at a new office so I definitely did not want to go overboard with any makeup.

I picked up a new eyelash curler as I was just feeling bored with my Bobbi Brown curler - it worked great but in the back of my mind was the question if there was something better out there. I had seen the Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler around the blogisphere and thought this would be a great one to give a try. This one is able to grasp every. single. one. of my lashes, giving an ultra fluttery lift to my eyes! I've even opted to go cat-eye free and let my lashes do all the talking.

I've been reaching for two face products this whole month and those were the Tarte Exposed blush and Becca Moonstone highlighter. Exposed leaves a beautiful dusty pink blush which I have been a huge fan of lately - I even did a post on some of my favorite pink-brown blushes here. I've been having so much fun sweeping my highlighter over my cheekbones, temples and nose bridge with my new Morphe Fan Brush - it allows me to get that glow in 5 easy swipes!

On the lips have been a whole lot of NARS and a whole lot of neutral. The NARS Audacious Lipsticks are definitely a fan favorite - and I have been loving the shade Barbara which is described as a tan rose. It wears beautifully and fades into my lips well that it doesn't require any touchup for a good 5+ hours. The other shade that has dawned my lips has been the NARS Lip Pencil in Walkyrie which is a warm coral red creme. This one does fade more around the center of my lips, but has a good amount of wear time before a re-apply is needed.

I've been saying to my friends and boyfriend for a while that I was going to try and cut back on my spending until I went to the UK in May - so hopefully I'll be able to achieve that. I'm really trying to use up more of my products so here's to panning some products this year! I did a major purge of my medicine cabinet in my bathroom and I felt a massive sigh of relief when I opened it this morning. Definitely go for the simple life guys - it is wonderful.

What have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of these?
