I've been using 2 products on a daily basis for the entire year thus far - that combination of products are the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint. A lot of people have mentioned using these two mixed together and of course I had to try it - and of course I fell in love with it. On days when I wasn't just wearing a pop of concealer, you'd find me with this combo of some sort on my face. With Spring in full force (hello, allergies of doom), I've been chasing after that dewy, glowy base. I think I've found my combo because these four products have been on high and heavy rotation over the last mont or so.
With a dewy base as my absolute goal, as opposed to a completely mattified face, I wanted to find a way that could add an extra glow to my face - sans highlight. A few months ago Jennifer and I had a little beauty swap (post still in the works as I continue to try out products), and within the package was this MECCA Cosmetica Lit From Within Illuminating Primer. It has a soft and clean sort of fragrance and it gives that healthy lit from within glow. I tend to focus this on the apples of my cheeks and forehead. For an added glow I've been adding a drop of the Marc Jacobs Coconut Dew Drops* to the mix. I tend to add a tiny drop and spread it on the upper parts of my cheeks, down my nose, and along my temples.
I've always been a pretty minimal gal with my makeup, I never really understood how some girls can go through foundation so quickly - although part of me is semi jealous. I usually get away with a tiny drop (less than pea size) and it's good enough to dab all over my face for a light wash of coverage.
I usually look like a mad woman with tiny dots of all four products placed around my face. I'll usually use a half pump of the GA foundation and dab it around my face, focusing most of the product on my cheeks and forehead. I'll then go in with the Glossier SPT and draw squiggly lines around my face - I find this to be the easiest since the consistency is runny. They have recently changed the formula on this and I've heard it is a bit more matte than dewy - but still a skin tint nonetheless. Be sure to snag yours through my link (glossier.com/reps/cindy) + score 20% if it's your first order. I love when you guys buy Glossier because I'm borderline obsessed - let me know if you ever grab something (through my link or not)! I'll usually then go in with the MECCA & MJ primers and strategically place them where I want a little extra glow. I know this isn't necessarily correct, but I'm lazy and just want to "blend" the products on my face once.
What are some products that you have been loving for a quick dewy look on a daily basis? Have you given any of these a try yet?
*I received the MJ Dew Drops complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
