One brand I was excited to see in person when I went to Italy was Kiko. I've heard endless amounts of praise for this brand and was thrilled to be able to swatch everything in person firsthand rather than rely on swatches online to order a purchase.

Since I was backpacking I knew I needed to travel light and limited what I purchased. I ended up going with 2 Kiko Long Last Stick Eyeshadows in the shades 04, described as a Golden Chocolate, and 07, described as a Golden Beige. I have the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst, which is a beautiful mauve-purple color. However, it is a bit more color than I'd like on a normal day, so I picked these two neutral colors as great all over the eyelid shades, or as a base for other eyeshadows for nights when I'm going for a heavier makeup look. I also picked up the Kiko Dark Tide Eyeliner in 02 Tempting Violet, which is a dark, almost black liner with hints of violet and eggplant. It's extremely subtle and not so in your face purple. I thought it'd be a great alternative to dark brown eyeliner for Fall and Winter and I'm most excited to use it.

The quality of these products is unreal, once they're on they really stay in place and do not budge. These products are completely affordable and I truly wish they were more readily available in California. Overall I'm very content with my mini haul of Kiko eye products as I'm sure these will get a lot of use and love in my everyday use.
