MAC Collection: Lipsticks - The Berry Tones

L-R // Plumful, Party Line, Media

Personally I feel that purple tones suit everyone well, it's all about finding the right shade that you're comfortable wearing. I feel that since I'm so pale and my hair is a darker color, I enjoy all shades of purple - Berry, Plum, Raspberry, you name it.

MAC holds such a large variety of lipsticks that it is perfect, albeit overwhelming, for finding your perfect shade. Each time I walk by a MAC counter I'm drawn to swatch all the colors that catch my eye. Here are my purple lip products I've gathered over the years.

The lightest of the shade is the beauty blogger highly mentioned shade, Plumful. It's a beautiful light shade that enhances my  lip color and is a great choice to grab during both the Fall and Spring. It's sheer but with enough opacity to give a distinct color on your lips.

Next up is Party Line, which is one of the first colors I picked up from MAC. It gives more of a raspberry-red color, it's easy enough to wear during the day for an amped up girly feel, or great to wear with some falsies for a trip to Napa or date night. This can also be dabbed on for a sheered out look, great for an extra tinge of color.

Last up is Media, which is a dark vampy color that is right up my alley. I love me a good dark lip that gives me a touch of bad-assery. This is definitely one that I use with a lip liner or lip brush, it's definitely one to be cautious of using straight from the bullet. If I'm going out with a bang, I'll actually pull out a dark black eyeshadow and smudge it out on the outer edges of my lips. This adds a bit more dimension to the lip and adds a little something extra.
