Nailed It | Dried Floral Nails

I love nail polish but I’m pretty lazy about doing them on myself. I recently moved and my bff is in the same complex, so we’ve been having dinner once a week or so. She has beautiful long nails and while I have an extensive nail polish collection, it doesn’t get a lot of use. I love painting nails so we took it as an opportunity for me to do her nails 😂

One of my favorite nail trends that I saw last year were dried florals in a milk-bath-esque vibe. I had asked my nail lady last year if we could do it, but she basically said I needed to do acrylics to achieve that and I was not down for that lol. When Cirque Colors released dried flowers I quickly jumped on them. I ordered 2 of the pink sets + 2 of the yellow sets. I probably should have pre-cut these carefully but I kind of rushed into it and just hacked away at the pieces so they were probably a bit smaller than I wanted. But overall I really loved how it turned out! Honestly I would not have the patience to do this to myself, nor would I have the skill to do my non-dominant hand lol.

The base color is Organza, which is described as a sheer milky peach. I applied a base coat then one coat of Organza, and while that coat was drying I applied the flowers. I had to do one nail at a time so that the polish didn’t dry before I finished the application. I then topped it with 2 more layers of Organza and a top coat.

What are your thoughts on these nails? Would you try them?
