Upgrading Our Laundry Hampers
If anything, quarantine has definitely encouraged many of us to spruce up various parts of our homes. Since we’re renting, there are no physical renovations we want to do but we’ve been adding some small changes to our apartment to freshen the space up.
We have been wanting to upgrade our hampers for a while as we’ve both had our mesh ones from Target for quiiiite some time. I’ve had mine since I went to college over 10 years ago (lol) and T had had his since we graduated from college. T and I will both be entering the last year of our 20s soon and we thought it was finally time to upgrade. Nothing ever felt quite right but in the midst of browsing for some new home pieces, I came across these ones from Uashmama. I love that they come in various sizes and colors - I was particularly happy to see that these button up together so they will effectively hold one another up without being droopy. They’re also soft so they aren’t stiff and too difficult to squeeze into place (if needed). I ended up getting a set of 2 in the color “olive”, as it was a better deal than ordering 2 individual ones.
These for a shocking amount of clothes - which is both a good and a bad thing. I had transferred our dirty clothes from our old hampers into the new, and while 3/4 full in our old hamper, it barely hit halfway in the new. Great news for day-to-day, prob not so great news for future us on laundry day 😂
