Quarantine Diaries // Everything I Binge Watched in March + April

Quarantine has been an interesting time and while T and I are generally quite the homebodies, the inability to go out freely or run to the supermarket when needed has been an adjustment. That and working from home together lol. If you know T and I, you’ll know that we are serial TV binge watchers. We can easily spend an entire day on the couch and finish an entire TV series. With a non-existent commute these days, we’ve had more time “after work” to do our own thing. With that, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. I thought I’d start a running list of things I’ve watched in case you were looking for some recommendations.

  • Outlander (Netflix) | This show has been my absolute guiltiest pleasure lol. This was recommended to me by a coworker and I watched through 5 seasons extremely quickly and even subscribed to the free trial of Starz so I could watch Season 6. (I messed up here bc I should’ve waited til the season was over - oh well.) I love Scotland and olden time set shows so this was a clear winner for me - plus there’s the added fun of time travel. Highly recommend!

  • Legacies (Netflix) | Ok I was a big TVD fan back in the day so when I didn’t have much to watch, I thought I’d give this a start. It wasn’t bad and I kind of enjoyed having the vampire/werewolf/witch “drama” back in my life.

  • Self Made (Netflix) | This was just a quick mini series. It wasn’t terrible but it was something to watch.

  • Virgin River (Netflix) | Again, this wasn’t terrible but it did give me something to watch. I did feel like this was exactly Hart of Dixie (even the old doctor guy was the same). All in all I do enjoy shows like this so I’ll watch season 2 just to find out what happens.

  • The Bold Type (Hulu) | One of my fav shows right now! When describing it to my friends, I say it’s like the modern day version of SATC - more relatable and with all the notions of social media and current world topics. Big fan.

  • Good Trouble (Hulu) | I never watched The Fosters and it actually took me a second to realize that this was a spinoff. This is also something easy to watch and I definitely got invested very quickly with the characters. I’m low-key debating on watching The Fosters but there are a lot of seasons..so maybe not.

  • Dollface (Hulu) | I had seen this on Hulu for quite some time and finally got around to watching it. I thought it was a fun show following a girl post-breakup and piecing her life back together. It was a feel-good show and I think it’s a nice one to watch!

  • Manifest (Hulu) | This reminds me of Lost and I love the mystery aspect of it. I ended up catching up to this live and started watching it week-to-week as new episodes were released on Hulu.

  • Single Parents (Hulu) | In random googling, I had seen that Leighton Meester was in this new (to me) show and thought I’d give it a go. It’s fun and while I don’t really relate to being a parent, it was an interesting insight into the life of parenthood.

What are some shows you’ve been binge watching lately? I’m trying my best to actually add in shows to my draft posts so that I don’t forget any ☺️
