The E M P T I E S | 0 1 1

A few weeks back I did a little empties haul over on my IG story - still trying to get more comfortable speaking on videos in general but you gotta start somewhere! I actually have a previous empties post that I took photos for but *still* haven't happened to publish. Perhaps I'll get around to it, but in the meantime here's a big one!

SKINCARE

  • Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser | This was a gentle scrub that I used in the morning every other day, a half pump sufficed! It lasted me quite a while but I wouldn't say it was anything overly special. On the plus side, it did smell like fruit loops :)
  • Pur~lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk | Omg yas, I loved this cleanser! It was so gentle and I used this as part of my double cleanse almost every day for a few months. I made a comment on this but I was thoroughly impressed that the packaging of this stayed top notch and none of the print faded / wiped off. Definitely looking to add this back into my routine after I get through some more stuff!
  • Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm | This was my first dabble with a cleansing balm and I gotta say I was not too impressed. It felt a bit heavy on my skin and the packaging itself didn't hold up so the gold lid separated from the white lid inside of it. It's kinda pricey so I probably won't be repurchasing this.
  • Shiseido Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF | I used this one for a while and sorta just felt 'meh' about it. I ended up using some skincare gurus on IG as inspiration and found my replacement from Missha and am loving that! You can read a bit more about it in my latest skincare routine post here.
  • Origins Dr. Weil Mega-Bright with SPF | This one felt like a never-ending jar and though I did like this in the beginning, it started to feel too heavy on my skin for daytime use. My desk at work is now next to the window so in an effort to protect my hands, I actually ended up applying this to the backs of my hands as extra protection + an effort to use this up by the expiration date.
  • Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment w/ Avocado | This one is one I kind of fell out of love with. I love how it leaves my skin feeling but it just felt like a pain to apply - it was thick but watery? I'm on the search for a new one, but for right now the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift is doing me well (post on it here).
  • Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate | I spoke wonders of this one for a while and I used it day and night for nearly a year. This stuff is pricey but I quite liked it! It's meant to help reduce fine lines and has ingredients similar to botox without actually being botox. I used this specifically on my forehead where I definitely notice more lines and I do think it helped. I particularly loved pairing this with my Glossier Super Bounce. This is one I'll repurchase in the future, but for now I'll be working on using other stuff up.
  • Glossier Supers (Super Bounce, Super Glow, Super Pure) | I think by now everyone knows that I sing high praises of all things Glossier, especially the Supers. I've used them all up (Super Bounce twice) and am starting on my backups of all three. If you're new to Glossier and haven't tried any of the Supers, I highly recommend trying the Super Pack - you save a ton! Remember to use my rep link (glossier.com/reps/cindy) to score an extra 20% on your first purchase! If you're a returning customer, I would still appreciate if you used my link!
  • Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser | And of course another bottle of MJC. I already have 2 backups of this and have one cracked open at my boyfriend's place. I will say that this one is not enough to take all your makeup off in one go (especially waterproof eye makeup), but it acts well as part of a double cleanse to leave your skin feeling clean, but never stripped.

BODY CARE

  • Lush Cosmetics Rose Jam Body Wash | A holiday fan favorite from the many Lush followers out there - I finally got this during the holidays last year and was excited to finally have it in my hands. It's definitely a sweeter rose scent mixed with vanilla, and maybe a touch too girly for me. I do like how it fills my bathroom with a lovely scent! It's a good thing I don't share a bathroom with any males as I'm not too sure they'd be overly fond of it haha.
  • Lush Cosmetics Love and Light Hand Cream | This is actually my mom's empty as the scent is a bit too strong for me. But I'm collecting the pot so that I can trade it in eventually for a mask ;)
  • Juara Candlenut Body Creme | I. Love. This. Stuff!!! It smells absolutely incredible and is one that I want to purchase the full size of once I use some more lotions/body creams up. This is one of those creams that completely absorbs into your skin without being overly oily. It also leaves your skin feeling absolutely soft - it has completely changed the appearance of my skin on my body.
  • EOS Lavender Jasmine Shaving Cream | This was the end of shaving creams for me as I have fallen head over heels in love with the L'Occitane Almond Oil. If you haven't trie a body oil in place of shaving, you are completely missing out.
  • L'Occitane Shea Butter Oil | This one was given to me by my mom a while back but I just decided to try and use it up. As you can tell I'm pretty crap at using up products but when I put my mind to it I'm able to get through them! I ended up using this on my skin (mostly my legs). But sometimes I hated the feeling of applying oil to my skin and will mix it with a body lotion.
  • Le Couvent des Minimes Exfoliating Shower Pulp (w/ Orange Blossom) | I had been using the Soap and Glory body scrub for a good long while and wanted to mix things up. I decided to give this a try and it was a *terrible* mistake. I picked this one because it had 'orange blossom' tied with it, but I was just not a fan of this. It smelled a bit earthy with a hint of orange blossom, but it was one I tried to use more of just to get it over with. I'm pretty sure there was still product in this but I just wanted to be done with it. I have since gone back to my S&G one. If you have any recs for body scrubs, please let me know!! (I also have a Frank Body scrub that I got from my gal @amourjnfr to try!)
  • Soap & Glory Clean on Me Body Wash | This is my second bottle that I've gone through and I just love it! It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh and the scent is just my favorite. If you've tried anything from S&G before, it's the original classic scent. I purchased another bottle and as soon as I finish the current body wash in my shower I'll be cracking it open!
  • Marc by Marc Jacobs Perfume | This one has actually been sitting in my empties for quite a while and I'm not actually sure when I finished it / if I've featured it before. I'm a trash hoarder and was probably keeping it for aesthetics / to feature on an empties shelf for perfumes. But I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed in my room with "stuff" so I just decided to toss it and I'm not really looking back. I have a larger size which I'm still slowly working my way through but may just end up keeping that anyways!

HAIRCARE

  • Not Your Mother's Haircare - Beach Babe Moisturizing Shampoo | I'm a huge fan of the NYM haircare line and am making my way through all their lines. I had purchased this one back when my hair was a bit shorter last year in hopes of getting those beachy waves. It didn't really do that for me but it did smell nice and coconut-y, like I was straight on holiday.
  • Not Your Mother's Haircare - Long & Strong Conditioner  | I think this line is my favorite of the ones I've tried, it just smells fresh and clean! I was pairing this with the Long & Strong Shampoo (which I'm working my way through right now), but ended up using this conditioner with some other shampoos I had on rotation (including the one above).
  • Joico Color Balance Blue Conditioner | I picked up this and the shampoo last year as blue shampoo/conditioner is the best to prevent colored hair on brunettes from turning brassy. {Blonde = Purple & Brunette = Blue} I'm actually getting my hair done the day this is posted and am going back a little darker, but I'll be using the Blue Shampoo which I *think* I still have about 1/3 of the bottle left. That stuff is crazy pigmented and a little definitely goes a long way!
  • MILK Makeup Dry Shampoo | Hello holy grail product. I've never been a fan of any dry shampoos that I've tried, but this one is a game changer. It smells refreshing and leaves my hair feeling clean rather than sticky or full of products. I've already repurchased this and will probably order some backups in the VIB sale.
  • Philip B Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme Rinse | This was a deluxe sample in a SpaceNK GWP that I received last year. I was trying to make an effort to use products up and *tried* to use this up in 3-4 times. I was not a fan of this as it left my hair feeling sticky afterwards. This one is pretty pricey too so I would not repurchase this.

Whew that was a long one. Thanks for being patient with me as I try to get my life situation back on track. I'll be doing a little life lately post (eventually) when I'm ready. Hope you've all been well <3
