An Ode to Patchology

Idk about you guys but I looove a good mask - face, eyes, feet - you name it. Tbh, up until this point I hadn't found any US brands with eye masks that I loved and have always had to stock up with them when I head to a Korean skincare store. I've tried a handful but have only really found one (maybe two) that I actually like. When I saw Jewlie talking about these Patchology masks (specifically the eye gels), I knew I wanted to try some. When Patchology reached out to see if I'd like to try some products I instantly jumped at the chance!

I opted to try the FlashPatch Lip Gels since I had seen them on a post from my pal Milli - I had seen lip gel masks out in the world and they seemed kinda funny / gimmicky. But I liked that these were slightly smaller and thinner than other ones I had seen on the market.

One thing that I appreciate about Patchology's products are the packaging factor. They have the lip and eye products that come in the jars with multiple masks so it helps reduce packaging waste. The lip and eye masks come with a mini shovel which helps you separate each mask - smart. It's difficult to remember to use the lip masks for me as I usually want to be able to drink water - but especially as Winter hits and my lips get extremely chapped, I really need to start reaching for these more! I love how they're like a mini pick me up for your lips and really help soften them.

I was also sent a few of their face masks and their single-packed Eye Gels & Restoring Night Eye Gels. These were the ones I ended up being most excited about as I was quite intrigued to test them out. In short - I loved them and ended up picking up an entire pack of the Restoring Night Eye Gels.

If you're a total eye gel addict, this duo set of 30-counts from Patchology is such a deal! For $85 (regularly $110), you can get both jars - and if it's your first order, you get 15% on top of that. In addition you also get a cute makeup bag with little doodles on it.

I also received a 2-pack of the PoshPeel Pedi Cure. This stuff is super potent as I can feel my feet tingling when I use it! I'm a bit impressed that this worked so effectively as I've only found one other foot peeling mask that works well. I liked the presentation of the products and thought they were quite easy to use. They provide separate boots which can be stickered shut so you can still easily walk around while waiting out the 60-minute period. There are 2 individual packets with the peeling solution essence that you dump into each plastic bootie. Word of advice - if you have recently painted your toes I would not use this as it's powerful enough to eat away at your polish. I think it's best to remove the polish first and then use this as it really gets down to the nitty gritty of everything.

On the face mask front I received a few: Hydrate FlashMasque Facial SheetIlluminate FlashMasque, and  SmartMud No Mess Mud Masque Facial SheetThe thing I love about the FlashMasques are that they are easy to use in a short period of time - 5 minutes to be exact. Personally a lot of face masks gross me out as I don't like the feeling of something wet and sticky stuck to my face for a long period of time. Also a lot of masks tend not to fit well and drip essence down my neck which gives me the chills (no thanks). But Patchology masks always fit me so well that I never run into that issue! The Mud Masque is an interesting concept as you apply it to your face and the mask transfers from the mask to your skin - this one does take slightly longer at 10 minutes. Some other masks they have that I'm quite interested to try is the Milk Peel 5 Minute FlashMasque Sheet Mask and Firm 5 Minute FlashMasque Sheet Mask for Face and Neck. Perhaps once I work my way through my embarrassingly large stash of sheet masks I'll give a few of these a try.

One new product that Patchology has recently released is the Restoring Night CloudMasque Night Cream. This is an overnight type mask that has kick-ass ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, anti-aging Retinol and Peptides, and 17 skin-conditioning plant extracts to sink into your skin overnight. I'm very interested in trying this one out as it looks / sounds incredible!! And perfect come this time of year when your skin can use a little extra TLC.

That's it for my Patchology roundup! Have you given any of these products a try? If you're interested, on Patchology's website you can score 15% off your first order using code 'WELCOME2017'!
