I've had two skincare bits on my mind lately and of course, they were both ones that were frequently sold out. I recently gave some Korean eye patches a try and oh my goodness - my under eyes looked great. So, of course, I wanted to try more eye patches out. One that caught my eye was the Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye. They have two sets, one that comes in a pack of 3 and another that comes in a pack of 12. I didn't want to commit to the 12 pack as I wasn't sure if it would actually work all that well. I have yet to try them but I'm definitely planning a little pamper sesh for this weekend!
The next bit I've had my eye on is the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. I'm such a fan of everything I've tried from Caudalie so you can bet that I had a mask next on my list. They're sulfate and paraben free which is perfect for me as I'm cutting out all products with sulfates, and items that are paraben free is just an added bonus for me. I've used this once and I have to say this is very similar to the Aesop Parsley Seed Mask, except a bit stronger (and not in a bad way). I'm thinking of doing a comparison post so let me know if you'd be interested in seeing that!
I had set up my email to receive alerts when these two products were available and while the Caudalie mask was, the Shiseido eye masks were not. So when I got an email alert letting me know the Shiseido eye masks were available, I quickly skimmed my Sephora emails to see what goodies they were giving away. They did have a 'Naturals Sample Bag' which was full of great natural products - including samples from Bite Beauty, Briogeo, Tata Harper, Boscia, Tatcha - to name a few. In addition, it was the start of June so new Beauty Insider rewards were on the scene. I ended up picking out quite a few as so many caught my eyes. I picked up the Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Mood Light, the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in Glacé (a favorite of Celina's so of course I had to have it), and the Josie Maran Daily Moisturizer with SPF.
Since it is my birthday month I had the option to choose between the Fresh duo or the Marc Jacobs Beauty duo. Since the Fresh Soy Cleanser strongly smells of cucumbers (which I cannot stand), I opted against it and went for the Marc Jacobs duo. Faith has been going on about Marc Jacobs lipsticks lately and as much as I'm trying to fight the temptation to pick some up, this little mini will just have to do for now! I love the MJ poutliner so I am excited to see how the eyeliner works out for me.
At checkout I always skim through to see if there are any perfumes I'd like to try and of course they had both Chloe scents so I thought - hey, why not? I'm a mini perfume sampler hoarder and have way too many for one person. But I'm finally making my way through them and it's actually quite fun to mix things up! Also, this is a great way for me to avoid finishing up my perfumes and having to shell out for new ones. Maybe at this rate I can finally save up for that Byredo or Diptyque perfume I've been eyeing.
What are some beauty or skincare products / samples that you have picked up lately? If you have BI rewards to redeem at Sephora, I'd highly recommend many of the picks they have available right now!
