Glossier Skywash Swatches + a Discount
Glossier launched a new addition to their makeup line with these sheer matte lid tints. Meet, Skywash. These are a liquid-to-powder eyeshadow that gives a silky wash of color to your lids.
Some fun facts about Skywash, they are vegan, cruelty free, fragrance free, gluten free, buildable, and smudge resistant. Perfect for a low-maintenance eye makeup look.
Currently Skywash has 7 shades:
Pool: Cornflower Blue
Pebble: Neutral Taupe
Echo: Cocoa Brown
Terra: Burnt Sienna
Valley: Warm Peach
Palm: Golden Beige
Lawn: Fresh Green
I’ll be honest, not all of the colors hit home for me. I’m extremely boring and simple when it comes to my eye makeup, so shades like Pool & Lawn were definitely ones I knew I would never reach for - but I’ve seen other girls rock them so well. One shade I thought I’d love was Pebble but on my skin tone, it looked like absolutely nothing. I know others had the same issue, so unless your skin is super fair it probably won’t show up. If your skin is darker, it may show up as a lighter wash on you.
Terra/Valley/Palm are neutral but at times they can pull a bit too orange/red on me and again, not always a cup of tea or vibe that I’m going for. I’ll usually blend this with another eyeshadow to soften the hue.
My favorite of the bunch has to be Echo - I love a good brown to give a nice smudged and smoked out eye look. It’s not necessarily my favorite look year round, but I am particularly drawn to it during Fall/Winter months.
Wear wise, I w ill say these are pretty good at being longwearing and matte. I don’t have overly oily eyelids but these will last all day for me with minimal to no creasing - and no primer is needed.
