Glossier Bubblewrap | Eye + Lip Cream
Last year Glossier expanded their skincare line with a new product for your eyes and lips - Bubblewrap. From the get go, this product intrigued me with the ingredients list: Hyaluronic Acid, Squalane, and Avocado Oil. I haven’t really met any products I didn’t love that had hyaluronic acid or squalane, so I already had high hopes for this stuff. And then looking at avocado oil, I knew I had high hopes for it as the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment was a favorite of mine for so many years.
When it comes to the product packaging, we all expected the classic Glossier pink to be thrown in there someway, somehow. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting the packaging to be this, but I was quite happy with it. One thing I strongly dislike about most eye creams are the teeny pots that you have to scoop out of. When I’m putting product close to my eye, I do sometimes worry about the cleanliness and sanitation as one of my biggest fears has to be getting some sort of eye infection *touch wood as I still have not yet had one*. So when Glossier came out with one with a pump, they already had a +1 in my book.
I will admit that the one area I’m iffy about is the duo eye + lip factor. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t use it on my lips. It usually leaves my lips with a weird tingly feeling and I almost feel like my lips are going to have some sort of adverse reaction to it so I just avoid that. But I do enjoy using this on under my eyes in the AM before I apply any makeup. I still don’t feel like I’m at that age where I need an eye cream to help with any particular issues, but I do like to use eye creams more for preventative reasons. Because the formula of Bubblewrap is so lightweight, I wouldn’t necessarily say this would be best for anyone that needs heavy duty eye cream to help with anti-aging factors, but I think this is a great one to help use for preventative reasons and to help keep the thin skin around the eye area smooth and hydrated.
