Paris Guide - Eats | Udon Jubey

A piece of Japan that can be found in a little pocket of Paris. T and I went to Europe for our honeymoon last December and the last stop on our trip was Paris. It was cold, we were a touch homesick, and a warm bowl of udon sounded so good. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our hotel was near a little Japantown (or at least that’s how I saw it) and we quickly headed over for dinner. The space is small, but they’re efficient and move fast. We were able to get a counter window but it didn’t seem like many people had to wait long for a table.

Paris Eats Udon Jubey

Their menus are easy to decipher and have French, Japanese, and English all listed (along with some photos). The bowls are pretty decently priced but are on the more expensive side (nothing I’m not used to living in the Bay Area).

They have various options from your typical udon, to tsukemen (dip udon in cold broth), to bukkake (pour cold sauce over udon), and even donburi (various offerings over rice). Pair your meal with some beer or sake - yum!
