Introduction to MERIT Beauty

Categorized under makeup I was excited to try this year // MERIT is a new to me brand that is now available in Sephora! Although we're still WFH, I do like to put a little bit of makeup on so I'm ready for any last minute video-calls for work or FaceTime chats with friends/family.

I was interested to try The Minimalist, their 2-in-1 foundation + concealer stick. I really do appreciate how creamy this is and it glides on to look like natural skin. I've applied this using both my fingers and a brush and both worked well for what I wanted. I ended up with Ecru and its worked well for me for my current shade. If we were still going out and about, this would be an easy one to throw in my bag because it's in travel friendly packaging.

The other product I got was the Flush Balm. I was hoping to try Mood but it was sold out so I went with Terracotta. It's nice for a barely there shade but I was hoping that it would show up a little bit more as I do also like the burnt orange/red hues for blushes. I probably wouldn't recommend this shade per se but application wise it was easy and I'd love to try a different color.

If you order from their site, you’ll get a free makeup pouch with your first order. It’s super cute and think it would be fun to take to brunch with friends or even to a wedding! I love mustard + corduroy so this honestly makes my heart swoon.

Overall I think the brand is super cute and aesthetic. I will say they are on the pricier side when you brake it down to $/oz, but overall their products seem to be a hit with many. I'm definitely looking to try their tinted lip oil & highlighting balm in the future!

Have you tried MERIT yet?
