Autumn Picks
Autumn is my favorite season to dress up for, both clothing wise and makeup wise. There's something in the air that feels new, perhaps it's all those years of school. The second the leaves turned orange and fell, you could bet I started gathering all my plum and berry colored lipsticks. One personal goal I've had this year is to get more use out of the products I already own. As part of that, I've made it a mission to try and wear lipstick more often. I'll be honest, for the most part I usually go for chapstick or tinted lip balm. I've been better about being experimental with lip colors, and here are some beauty bits that I'm excited to use this Autumn.

MAC Plumful This one needs no introduction as it is one of the most highly mentioned lip products on the blogisphere come Autumn season. Rightfully so, as it is a beautiful magenta-plum hue. It is brighter and I would reserve this more for daytime use.
Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour in Sin This is a lip pick I am most excited to use this season, it is described as a sheer plum. It may look daunting in the tube for non-lip wearers, but on the lips it is a lovely sheered out plum, as the description suggests. It really does feel weightless on the lips and is a great satin-matte option without being drying on the lips.
MAC Media I would describe this as a deep plum-currant color, one of those almost black colors, with hunts of red and purple. MAC describes it as an Intense Reddish-Purple. This one is extremely pigmented, and can definitely be worn dabbed in for a bold everyday look. This is perfect for nights out!
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Plum Again, no surprise that one of these little guys made their way in. Plum is the shade that made me fall most in love with Fresh lip products. It is so complimenting against any skin tone, and is easy to wear everyday. I'll soon be rotating out the Nude pick for this!
TopShop in The Damned As mentioned in my August Favorites, this is one that I have been reaching for a lot. It's the perfect transition color from the brights of Summer, to the berries of Autumn. This looks great applied full on, or dabbed in for a subtle stain.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned Obviously makeup companies have similar opinions of shades and how they should be named. This is the first matte lip pencil I owned from NARS and I absolutely love the formula. Similar to the TopShop lipstick in The Damned, the NARS counterpart is a matte version, which is creamy and long-lasting on the lips. This is one of those shades that is perfect to wear both day and night, and I guarantee any bold lip lovers will love this one.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Amore Liquid lipsticks are the best thing invented, ever. I love the formula of these lipsticks, and this gives a beautiful dusted plum look. It's dark and vampy, and makes me feel like a total bad-ass whenever I wear it. It's great way to wear a bold lip without having to worry about lipstick smudging across your face or transferring onto your teeth. If you haven't tried out the Stila liquid lipsticks, you're definitely missing out.
There's a great mixture of finishes, giving me tons of options this season. Even with all of these picks, there are still new bits that I have picked up. A mini treat yourself haul coming soon!
