Brand Focus: Kate Somerville

Kate Somerville, Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream, Eradikate, D-Scar Diminishing Serum

Kate Somerville is a brand that I've heard a ton of about, specifically for improving the complexion of my skin. I was walking around Nordstrom a few months back and came across a new Kate Somerville counter. I had heard Ingrid [Nilsen] speaking about the Kate Somerville 'Nourish' Daily Moisturizer, and thought it would be a good new moisturizer to try out. When speaking to the Kate Somerville rep, she let me know that the 'Nourish' moisturizer was better for oilier skin, for dryer skin and redness she recommended the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream. I'm very sensitive to smells and I was nervous about the smell of the goat milk. *Note: it does have a rather pungent smell, but it does fade away throughout the day. My boyfriend said that he could not smell it, so if you aren't as sensitive to smells this may not be a problem for you.

Another problem I have is scarring easily, I noticed the Kate Somerville D-Scar Scar Diminishing Serum which has a rollerball application. The rollerball is used to flatten and reduce the bumps and unevenness of a scar and it works to help smooth out the skin's layer over time. I can't say that this stuff is a miracle worker and will work overnight, but this has definitely helped to lighten the visibility of existing scars I already had. If you have a problem with scarring, this may be one to definitely pick up! Unfortunately a sample won't be as effective, as I think the rollerball application may be necessary to really help make the difference.

I picked up the EradiKate Acne Treatment which has been a savior when it comes to fussy spots. Whenever I feel a pimple emerging, I dab this on at night and sleep with this on. The next morning I wake up and the pimple-to-be is pretty much non-existent. This has really helped me to prevent getting any terrible red pimples in probably the last six or so months since I got it. It is on the pricier side, but like I said I've used it for about half a year now and there is still so much product left.

I love that my skin has reacted so well to all of these products and I honestly cannot wait to try out more products. Have you tried any Kate Somerville products? Any recommendations?

Cheers!
